A small white pickup was involved in a hit-and-run accident early Friday morning in Mill Creek, Washington. The accident took place around 1:30 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of 136th Street SE.
A 24-year-old Everett man and a 17-year-old Sedro-Woolley girl were standing on the sidewalk when the pickup that was traveling east on 136th Street drove over the curb, onto the sidewalk and hit the man.
The pickup continued to drive east and stopped briefly on the 1400 block of 136th Street before speeding away from the scene.
The 24-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with non life-threatening injuries.
The teenager told police officers that the pickup appeared to have faded or dull paint and there was a canopy over the bed.
Police believe that the pickup damaged in the front passenger side corner from the crash. There was also possible passenger-side windshield damage.
According to witnesses, the vehicle may be similar to an early 1980s Chevrolet S-10 pickup.
