Pedestrian hit by car and seriously injured in Kent

Early on Monday morning around 5:30am, a woman driving a Subaru Forester on 108th Ave SE at the intersection of SE 200th St hit a man when he stepped into the northbound lane. The driver was not injured but the man, a 54-year-old from Kent, was taken to Harborview Medical Center for serious injuries. Kent Police officials are still investigating the cause of the accident and have confirmed that the driver had the right of way and was driving below the speed limit. The roadway was closed until 9:00am for investigation.
