A pedestrian was fatally injured on I-5 near the Spokane Street Exit Saturday night.

The man died at the scene of the pedestrian accident.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Christina Martin, the accident took place across from the Tully's building arond 9:15 p.m. The pedestrian was attempting to cross Interstate 5 in the Northbound lanes near the Spokane Street exit when he was hit by a car and killed.

The man killed in this accident was not carrying any identification and his age is not yet decided.

Martin said Troopers thought the man may have been a transient but they are still unsure.

There was delays for nearly 45 minutes due to the closure of three lanes of the Interstate. The Interstate was fully re-opened around 11 that same night.
