Pedestrian Accidents On Railroad Tracks Are Frequent In Pierce and South King County l Seattle Railroad Accident Lawyer
According to Tacoma's News Tribune there have been "at least 54 pedestrians who have died on railroad tracks in Pierce and South King counties since January 1998." The newspaper's findings are based on a Washington State database of railroad-related deaths through May 2008, plus additional deaths reported by the found in News Tribune since May.An estimated 60-plus trains a day run on the BNSF main line from Seattle through Kent, Auburn, Sumner, Puyallup and to Tacoma. Both Amtrak and Sound Transit run high-speed passenger trains on the BNSF tracks. Sound Transit operates LINK light rail in downtown Tacoma.
