An elderly man was injured in a pedestrian accident in Burien Tuesday morning around 7:15.

He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The man, a SeaTac resident, was walking east on South 136th Street and was crossing 8th Avenue when he was hit by a 1996 Ford Windstar van.

The teenage driver of the van was making a right turn and didn't see the elderly man crossing the street.

Drugs and alcohol are not factors in this accident. Fogged windows in the van are thought to have contributed to this crash.

The investigation is ongoing and no citations have been issued.
