Seattle Pedestrian Accident News

A driver a man crossing the street near in the Capitol Hill neighborhood leaving the pedestrian with serious injuries.  The accident occurred about 11:40 p.m. on Broadway Avenue near East Pike Street.

The driver of the Ford Mustang was in the center lane heading north near Pike when he hit a Seattle man (24 years old) who was crossing the street.  The pedestrian flew onto the hood of the car and struck his head on the windshield.  He then went over the vehicle and landed in the street.  He suffered serious head injuries and a broken leg.  Some onlookers said that the pedestrian had stepped into the crosswalk against the light.

Both the driver and the pedestrian were taken to Harborview Medical Center
