Paralyzed Professional Dirt Biker Continues to Fight

Professional dirt bike rider Doug Henry broke his back during practice in March 2007 and became paralyzed from the waist down.
Henry lost control of his bike while taking a corner.

“All I thought about was my family and all of the things we wouldn’t be able to do,” Henry said. Henry has not let this slow him down though.

He continues to fight. Henry confronted his life obstacles of paralysis and injury, and did not let it stop him from pursuing his love for extreme sports.

Henry began riding snowmobiles, and was a participant in the X Games last year.

He is an inspiration to anyone struggling with catastrophic injuries or paralysis. Thank you, Doug Henry, for being an inspiration to all of us! Davis Law Group wishes you and your family the best.

Spinal Cord Injury Statistics

Automobile accidents cause 42.1 % of spinal cord injuries. More than 11,000 people suffer a spinal cord injury each year in the United States, while some victims will experience a full recovery, others will be completely and permanently paralyzed. Car accidents are also frequently the cause of other serious back injuries such as a herniated disc. In both cases the accident vicitm may require surgery, years of treatment and physical therapy, and the injuries can completely change the life of the victim.
