A deadly Seattle two car accident occurred early Saturday morning, leaving one man dead on Rainier Avenue South.

Three people were involved in the accident, all of whom were taken to Harborview Medical Center, where a passenger in the Lexus later passed away.

According to police, the two cars involved in the accident were travelling south at high speeds on the 5500 block of Rainier Avenue. The driver of the second car told police he was following a silver Lexus because he had been a victime of a hit and run.

The Lexus, which contained two people, had crossed the center line and hit the other car which was travelling north.

The accident caused Rainier Avenue South to be shut down for several hours.
