A serious crash Thursday night on I-5 left one dead and another severely injured. A SUV headed north on the highway crossed the median, sideswiped a car, and then hit a Dodge Durango head-on. A 54-year-old man from Everett was the driver of the SUV. He was pronounced
dead at the scene of the accident. The 18-year-old driving the Durango was taken to Harborview.
Due to the crash, two other vehicles were
affected by the debris but no one was injured, troopers said.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash. Troopers said they received reports of an irregular driver on the interstate right before the accident occurred.
The
car accident caused severe traffic in both directions.
