One person was injured in a hit-and-run collision near Pasco on Wednesday night.While driving on north on the blue bridge over the Columbia River, 20-year-old Ivan Sandoval was rear-ended by an SUV. The SUV driver then tried to flee the scene but 29-year-old Zenon Simiano was later arrested by Pasco Police.
Sandoval escaped with only minor injuries. Simiano and his two passengers, two children ages 9 and 8, were uninjured.
Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident and attempted hit-and-run charges may be pending.

A driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in the injury to or death of any person or involving striking the body of a deceased person shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident or as close thereto as possible but shall then forthwith return to, and in every event remain at, the scene of such accident until he or she has fulfilled the requirements of subsection of this section; every such stop shall be made without obstructing traffic more than is necessary.
