Chelsea M. Garner died when her car crashed head on with a pickup after crossing the center line. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Apparnetly Garner was westbound on Ahtanum Road when she drove into the oncoming lane and into the path of a 2005 Ford truck driven by Diego Munguia-Ruiz. Munguia was injured and taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Sandra D. Gonzalez, a passenger in the Ford, was not injured.
