Early Thursday morning a head-on collision on Highway 395 south of Clayton resulted in tragedy. The wreck happened in the northbound lane leaving three people injured and one dead.

Washington State Patrol closed the northbound lane for several hours while they cleared the wreckage and investigated the cause of the crash. Traffic was alternated through the one open lane to pass the accident scene.

There is no other available information about the cause of the crash or the people involved.
