An Olympia man was critically injured in a crash near Nisqually over the weekend.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash took place around 2. a.m. on Saturday.
Charie Coulliette, a 31-year-old woman from Olympia, was heading eastbound on state
Route 510 between Meridian Street Southwest and 35th Avenue Southeast in her 2000 Dodge Durango when she crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Danny J. Morgan, 27.
Coullietter faces a charge of vehicular assault, according to Thurston County Corrections, where she is currently being held without bail.
According to Washington State Patrol, the four passengers in both Coulliette and Morgan’s cars were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia for treatment of their injuries.
The condition of the Olympian man who was critically injured in the crash was upgraded to serious condition on Sunday, according to a nursing supervisor at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
State troopers later reported that drunken driving was what had caused the accident.
