No one was hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 near Lynnwood on Tuesday.A woman had stopped her car in the southbound lanes to corral a family of ducks off of the freeway when another car hit hers and caused a multi-vehicle collision including another car and a semi truck.
The collision disrupted traffic for several hours with cars backed up for miles in the southbound lanes.
The woman's name was not released by Washington State Patrol reports that she may be charged with disorderly conduct.
Trooper Keith Leary added that "As much as we love animals, citizens should not stop and attempt to corral animals on the freeway."

Similarly, the traffic fatality rate per 100 million vehicle-miles traveled has also been decreasing. Over the last several years, the statewide vehicle-miles-traveled have also been decreasing; however, Washington’s rate remains well below the national average. If we continue along the same trend line, we would expect 368 traffic deaths in the year 2030. The average fatality rate from 1997 to 2001 was 1.24 and from 2002 to 2006 was 1.12, a 9.7% decrease. Overall, the fatality rate has decreased by 42.9% since 1986, and by 15.2% since 1997. The average fatality rate between 1997 to 2006 was 1.18.
