A motorcyclist was critically injured in a DUI collision in Maple Valley on Friday night.
Around 8:45 p.m. a man was heading down Highway 169 on his motorcycle, attempting to pass a Jeep Grand Cherokee near 214th street, when the vehicle swerved and hit him.
The motorcyclist was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries including several broken bones.
The driver of the Jeep was taken into police custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and could face vehicular assault charges. Washington State Patrol also believes that the driver may have convicted of DUI in the past.
The accident is still under investigation.
