Motorcycle Crash near Shelton Leaves Man Seriously Injured | Personal Injury Attorney

A Silverdale man was seriously injured on his motorcycle when it crashed into a car near Potlatch in Mason County Saturday around 2 p.m.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition.
The man was driving northbound on Highway 101 behind a woman driving a Kia Rio when she attempted to make a u-turn causing the motorcyclist to crash into her.
The woman was taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton where she was treated and released.
The driver of the Rio was cited for failure to yield.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, there are five crash types which account for 86 percent of all motorcycle fatalities. Eight percent of those fatalities are due to a car turning in front of a motorcycle.
