Motorcycle Accident Kills Cougar Man
On June 17, 2010 troopers from the Washington State Patrol responded to a one motorcycle collision on State Route 503 near Cougar Washington.Rory A. Witham, a 39 year old Cougar resident, was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle northbound on SR-503 when for an unknown reason the motorcycle left the roadway to the right and struck a power pole on the shoulder. Witham was transported by Life Flight to South West Washington Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The accident reportedly took place around 4:38 pm and alcohol is not suspected to be a contributing factor.
Sadly, Mr Witham passed away on Tuesday from the injuries he sustained in the collision.
