Mariner's First Baseman, Mike Carp, Involved In Car Accident
According to MLB.com, Seattle Mariner's first baseman Mike Carp was involved in a car accident while driving to spring training, The accident happened as Carp drove past Disneyland on eastbound 91 at about 50mph when his car hydroplaned and spun out of control. The front end of his souped-up, red 2003 Ford Mustang absorbed all the damage. Apparently Carp was uninjured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved.Mike Carp is one of the organizations prize prospects. Carp is scheduled to start the season at Triple-A after hitting 17 home runs in 134 games at Double-A last season.
