Man Struck and Killed By Vehicle While Changing Flat Tire in Vancouver

A man changing a flat tire on the off-ramp shoulder off of Interstate 5 in Vancouver, WA was struck and killed by another vehicle .  Apparently the man's wife had called to ask him to assist with the flat tire.  She was watching traffic as he worked and tried to warn him when the approaching vehicle swerved.  It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle that hit him was distracted by a cell phone, texting, or some other distraction.
