Man killed in car crash near Lynnwood

Two men were traveling in a Black sedan on Cypress Way in Lynnwood around 5pm Wednesday evening when the vehicle left the roadway, drove into a ditch and hit a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Snohomish Country Sheriff's Office but the road conditions were wet at the time of the crash and may have contributed to the driver's loss of control.
