Man Injured in Car/Bus Collision | Attorneys, Seattle

One man was injured in a Port Townsend car/bus collision Tuesday afternoon.

The man injured in this accident was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center to be evaluated for a head injury.

The accident took place around 4:11 p.m. when an 85 year old driver from Ontario entered a parking lot coming east from Landes Street, sped through the Haines Place Park and Ride, jumped a curb and hit an empty Jefferson Transit Bus.

The man, who was still conscious was helped out of the car by witnesses. He was able to lean against a pole but then spun around and landed on his back.

There were no other injuries in this accident.

National Car Accident Statistics state that excessive speed is the second most common cause of deadly car accidents. Statistically adding up to be the cause of about 30 percent of fatal accidents.
