DESCRIPTION: A SUV hit a VW bug that was parked on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 5 around 8 am this morning. The driver of the SUV had taken his eyes off the road for a second when his car veered onto the shoulder. The driver of the VW saw the oncoming vehicle and was able to get out of the way before the collision. The driver of the SUV was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center with a separated shoulder and head laceration. Both cars were totalled.
