Man injured after collision on I-5 in Tacoma

A 53-year-old man had stopped his vehicle in the left northbound lane of Interstate 5 around 9pm in Tacoma on Wednesday night and was outside it when another vehicle struck his and forced it into the shoulder. The injured man was taken to Madigan Army Medical Center. Why the victim was outside his vehicle and why it was stopped is still under investigation.
