A 58-year-old man in a wheelchair died after being hit by a car while in an unmarked crosswalk on Highway 99 near Gibson Road.
Washington State Patrol Troopers determined the 26-year-old driver of the Kia Sedona was not at fault.
Trooper Leary said, "(The victim) didn't judge the distance between himself and the car. The driver never saw him."
Pedestrians should be very careful on unmarked crosswalks, Leary said. That includes wearing bright or reflective clothing when on the road at night.
