Man Deserted after Hit-and-Run Accident in Renton
A man was walking on the side of a road in Renton Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car and deserted after the accident, according to police. The victim, a Renton man in his 50s, was found seriously injured near Hoquiam Avenue Northeast and Northeast Sunset Boulevard at approximately 6:15 a.m. and was immediately taken to Harborview Medical Center with severe head injuries that are being called life-threatening.
Police say the man was walking on the side of the road when a car struck him from behind at less than 25 miles per hour. The car, identified as a white Subaru with a hood scoop, fled the scene of the accident and police are looking for anyone with information regarding the accident.
