A Normandy Park woman was driving northbound in her 2002 Honda Accord on Interstate 5 in Tukwila when a southbound truck lost its left front tire while traveling freeway speeds.
The tire darted across the median and struck the Honda’s windshield on the driver’s side.
The female driver only suffered minor injuries from the shattered glass and was actually able to pull over to the side of the road to wait for help.
What caused the tire to come off the truck is still under investigation.
