Logging Truck Hits Boy on Bicycle

A logging delivery truck hit a 14-year-old boy on Highway 101. The boy was riding either a scooter or bicycle. The accident closed the highway yesterday afternoon.

The accident occurred north of Shelton, where the scene shows the wheel of the bike or scooter that was still under the truck during investigation.

According to WSP, the young boy was taken to Mason General Hospital and remained conscious.
The boy’s mother said he received a broken ankle from the bicycle accident.
