Lawsuit Filed Against the Forest Service for Death of Girl

wrongful death book
An 11-year-old girl was killed at ice caves just east of Granite Falls in 2010 and the parents are planning to sue the Forest Service in order to prevent any other fatal accident, such as this one, from happening again.

The family is urging that there needs to be better signage.

Grace Tam was killed in July 2010 at the Big Four Ice Caves in Verlot. She was on a trip with her family when a huge piece of ice broke loose and pinned the young girl to the ground.

The attorney representing the family believes that there is not enough done to alert visitors of the dangers.
