Lake Tapps Boating Accident Leaves One Dead l Washington Lawyer

Ronald Scott of Bonney Lake died after 2 boats collided in a boating accident on Lake Tapps between Interlake and Inlet islands Monday around 10:30 p.m. 

Nine others were injured in that same crash, and were taken to various hospitals for treatment including Harborview Medical Center, Good Samaritan in Puyallup and Tacoma General Hospital.

A 21-foot Supra struck the back of an 18-foot Bayliner, said Bonney Lake police officer, Tony Rice.  The Supra went over the top of the Bayliner and landed in the water off to the side causing Scott to be pushed into the water. 

Investigators believe speed and alcohol were the cause of this deadly crash and booked a man on suspicion of homicide by watercraft and two counts of watercraft assault.  The incident is still under investigation. 

The family of Ronald Scott and all involved in this tragic accident are in our thoughts and prayers.
