Lake City Car Crash Injures 3

Late Wednesday a serious car accident occurred in Lake City, Washington (north of Seattle) that injured three (3) people. 

It appears that a Chevy Blazer was speeding north on Lake City Way when it crashed into a Volkswagen Jetta turning onto Lake City Way from 120th.  The police believe that the Jetta had the green light at the time of the impact.  The likely cause is therefore driver error and speeding.  However, the police have not ruled out whether the driver of the Blazer was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol,

The occupants in the Jetta appear to have a civil claim for damages against the driver of the Blazer.  Witnesses report that the Jetta was so badly damaged, that Seattle firefighters had to tear into the vehicle to get the woman passenger trapped inside. She and the driver of the Jetta were taken to the hospital for injuries.
