A King County Officer received a pedestrian accident injury Tuesday evening in the Maple Valley area.

He was taken to Harborview Medical Center but his injuries were not considered life threatening.

The pedestrian accident took place just after five in the evening in the 18600 block of State Route 169 and The Maple Valley Highway.

According to King County Sheriff's spokesman John Urquhart, the officer that was hit was investigating another incident when it happened. The driver who hit the officer did not run and stayed at the scene of the accident.

He was conscious and talking after he was hit.
