Early Thursday morning, two men and a juvenile were arrested on suspicion of robbing a man. What made this arrest different is that it was assited by a K9.
Around 3:30 am, 911 dispatchers received a call of a man yelling for help near East Alder Street and 11 Avenue.
According to police, the victim walked into the AMPM at East Jefferson Street and 12th Avenue where he was confronted by two of the suspects demanding money. When he refused, one of the suspects punched him in the face. At that point, he took off running and yelled for help which then prompted a nearby witness to call 911.
When police responded to the call, the suspects were nearby hiding, said police. That is when the K9 stepped in and took a bite out of crime, literally.
Two of the suspects were taken to Harborview Medical Center, where they were treated for minor dog bites. The two adult suspects were later taken to into and booked at King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
The third suspect, a juvenile, was taken to Youth Services Center for investigation of robbery.
