Icy roadways are blamed for a fatal accident in Burien.
The accident happened about 4:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of state Route 509 near South 128th Street.
A taxi driver hit a patch of ice and spun out, ending with his car facing south in northbound lanes. He then got out of his taxi and was struck by a pickup truck. He was then hit twice more by other cars unable to stop in time.
The taxi driver was then hit twice more by other vehicles who were unable to stop in time.
The accident remains under investigation.
