
In a 2009 crash, a man hit and injured five cyclists and fled the scene. The 47-year-old hit-and-run driver Sommit Luangpakham was found guilty on all 10 charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and leaving the scene. He has been sentenced to nine months for dangerous driving and 15 months for leaving the scene of the crash.
The investigation showed no evidence of recklessness in his driving behavior.
The driver made a formal apology to the victims.
In the bicycle accident, five cyclists were riding single file in a bicycle lane in July 2009.
Four of the five cyclists were critically injured.
