On Washington roadways, there were 1,003 fatal crashes between 2004 and 2008 involving a driver age 16-25. These crashes resulted in a total of 1,142 deaths, which is an average of 228 deaths per year. This accounts for approximately 39% (1,142 of 2,942) of all traffic deaths during the five year period.
The Washington State chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) wants to save lives by reducing the number of drinking and driving collisions in our state. Through awareness campaigns, educational programs, and victims support services the local MADD volunteers work to make a difference in Washington. In
