Four people were injured in a collision near Mattawa on Tuesday morning.

A 30-year-old male was driving wear on Road 24 when he stopped at a stop sign at the Highway 243 intersection. He then pulled forward into the intersection and was struck by a Ford SUV driven by a 28-year-old male.

The 30-year-old and his two passengers that were in his car, a 28-year-old male and a 36-year-old male were injured and taken to local area hospitals. The SUV driver was also injured and taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident and the 30-year-old was cited with failure to yield the right of way.
