Four people were injured in a one-car collision near Washougal on Sunday.

While driving westbound on Highway 14, 40-year-old Bryan McElroy was driving three other passengers: Nicholas J. McElroy, 15, Jonathan S. McDowell, 16, and Joseph E. Miller, 53 when he veered off the road onto the shoulder before returning to the westbound lane, crossing the center line, entering a drainage ditch before striking a culvert and spinning into a private driveway.

McElroy was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car. He was airlifted to Southwest Washington Medical Center and was last reported in critical condition. The three other passengers in his car were also take to Southwest for treatment of minor injuries and were later released.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by Washington State Patrol.
