On Tuesday afternoon four people were seriously injured in a car crash in Sumner, Washington. The crash happened when the driver of a Dodge Stratus crossed the center line and hit a Volkswagen Passat head on. The crash occurred in the 10800 block of State Route 162.
Two of the people injured were flown by medical helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. They were listed in serious condition Tuesday evening. The driver of the Dodge Stratus was identified as 22-year-old Jacqueline P. Weston, of Federal Way.
The Washington State Patrol believes Jacqueline Weston was driving with a suspended license. Drugs are also believed to be involved. Ms. Weston was arrested for investigation of three counts of vehicular assault.
Photographs of the vehicles show massive damage. It appears to have been a high speed collision which explains why so many people were injured.
