A four car fatal accident took place Tuesday evening near Highway 99 in Edmonds.

Three people all from Edmonds were injured. Two were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where one man later died from his injuries and the third man was taken to Stevens Memorial Hospital.

According to the Edmonds Police, the deceased man was waiting at a stoplight on 220th Avenue Southwest and 76th Avenue West when he was hit from behind by a pickup truck. This caused a chain reaction with two other cars, one of which was also waiting at the stoplight.
