Fifth Death This Month on the BNSF Tracks in Puget Sound Area

An Amtrak train hit and killed a person on the railroad tracks about 25 miles south of Tacoma in Nisqually.

Spokesperson says this is the fifth death this month on the BNSF tracks in the area. Pierce County Sheriff’s office is investigating the wrongful death.

The train was bound from Portland, Ore., to Vancouver, British Columbia, with a stop in Seattle.
