A deadly motorcycle accident closed down parts of Highway 2 near Sultan late afternoon on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist was to be airlifted to Harborview but died before the helicopter arrived.

The fatal accident took place just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when the motorcyclist who was travelling westbound on Highway 2 crashed into a Honda sedan which pulled out in front of him from Rice Road.

The 16 year old driving the Honda and her passenger were uninjured.

No citations were given but the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is still investigating this accident.
