Lori Bacon, 47, of Colbert was driving her car southbound on Highway 395 just after 8 a.m. when her car slid into the northbound lanes and hit an oncoming pickup truck driven by 23-year-old Rubie Palmer of Spokane.
Bacon was taken to Holy Family Hospital where she passed away at 10:11 a.m.
The Washington State Patrol is still investigating the cause of the accident.
