Late Friday night, a 75-year-old Seattle-area woman collided with another vehicle and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center.
Juanita Lund, of Mountlake Terrace, was driving westbound on Highway 2 near Leavenworth when her Chrysler LeBaron crossed the center line and collided with a Land Rover. The driver of the Land Rover and its two passengers were injured in the crash.
According to Washington State Patrol, the collision took place at about 8:50 p.m.
The four victims were rushed to Central Washington Hospital. Lund was transferred to Harborview where she was treated for chest injuries.
The driver of the Land Rover, 38-year-old Franz Cristache of Redmond, was treated for a chest injury and later released.
Passengers Nicoleta Cristache, 37, of Redmond and 40-year-old Constantin Opera of Seattle, were reported to be in stable condition on Saturday at Central Washington Hospital.
According to a firefighter from Chelan County Fire District 3 in Leavenworth, one of the vehicles caught fire after the collision, but firefighters promptly put out the flames.
The Washington State Patrol news release stated that all occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts during the time of the crash.
