Eight Car Accidents On Highway 16 Within One Month l Washington Car Accident Lawyer

An epidemic of car accidents on Highway 16 has moved Washington State Patrol troopers to urge drivers to slow down and keep safe following distances.   There have been eight crashes in the past month on Highway 16.  Most were during the morning commute, and speed and following too closely were contributing factors.  Recent weather changes were also a contribution factor.

The Washington State Patrol wants you to remember to:
—Maintain a safe following distance behind the car in front of you.
—Make sure your windows are free of fog and debris, and check to make sure your windshield wipers are working well.
—Base your speed on the flow of traffic, and don't attempt to drive at the posted speed when traffic is slowed.
—Leave a few minutes early for work to avoid feeling rushed while driving.
—Pay attention to the road and drivers around you.
—Use hands-free devices and limit distractions.
