A drunk driver collided with a Washington State Patrol car on Saturday morning in Auburn. Around 3 a.m. a trooper had pulled over a drunk driver onto the shoulder of Highway 167. The 36-year-old woman was in the back seat of his patrol car while he was seated in the front seat waiting for a tow truck when the car was struck from behind by another drunk driver. The BMW that struck him was driven by a 24-year-old woman.
The trooper suffered minor injuries and both women were booked into King county Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. No other details have been released and the investigation is ongoing.
