A DUI driver was seriously injured after crashing his car near Issaquah around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday evening.

A 52-year-old man was speeding westbound on Interstate 90 near West Lake Sammamish when he lost control, veered to the right, and crashed into a concrete wall, rolling onto the shoulder.

The driver was found by authorities partially ejected from the 1968 Corvette and was taken to Overlake Hospital in serious condition. He was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Washington State Drunk Driving Law
A person is guilty of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or any drug if the person drives a vehicle within this state:
(a) And the person has, within two hours after driving, an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or higher as shown by analysis of the person's breath or blood made under RCW 46.61.506; or (b) While the person is under the influence of or affected by intoxicating liquor or any drug
(c) While the person is under the combined influence of or affected by intoxicating liquor and any drug.
