
A patrol officer was charged Wednesday with killing a man while drunk driving. The 25-year-old officer
hit a pedestrian around 3:50 a.m. He was not on duty at the time of the pedestrian accident.
The 22-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The officer was charged with vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and
operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
He joined the force in July of 2010 and now suspended from the department.
