Thanksgiving is the #1 Drunk Driving Holiday
Many people mistakenly believe that New Year's Eve is the holiday with the most drunk driving accidents. Most are surprised to learn that New Year's Eve runs a distant second to the holiday that statistically has the largest number of drunk driving fatalities--Thanksgiving.
During Thanksgiving weekend in 2008, nationwide, 389 people were killed in car crashes; thousands more were injured, most collisions involved alcohol.
