A drunk driver crashed his car and left his four children at the scene of the accident after he left. His children were ages 13, 10, 8 and a 2-year-old.
The 30-year-old driver faces charges of Assault II, DUI, hit and run, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving. He is currently being held in jail for $70,000.
The DUI collision happened Monday night, when officers found a 1999 Toyota Sienna Minivan flipped upside on the side of a forest road.
The driver was said to be speeding down a gravel road when he lost control of his minivan.
All children were able to get out of the vehicle on their own and were taken to the hospital after officials arrived. No one was admitted for treatment.
The man eventually arrived back at the scene and was arrested.
Davis Law Group is relieved to hear that the children were not seriously injured in the DUI collision.

In Washingon State there is a sharp increase in the number of drunk driving incidents near major holidays.
Drunk driving is one of the leading causes of motor vehicle collisions. According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, 16,694 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in the United States in 2004. This figure represents 39% of all traffic incident deaths. In fact, more than 500,000 Americans are injured annually in drunken driving crashes.
