Early Friday morning,
one person was killed when they drove their car into a tree in Spokane.
While driving on Highway 291 near Riverside State Park, a vehicle veered off the road, crossing oncoming traffic before slamming into a tree. The car then caught fire. Authorities believe the driver died instantly.
The crash is still under investigation and WSP has not yet released information concerning the deceased driver or what may have caused the crash.
